Amigo Sports has launched an official FIFA collection in India through an exclusive licensing agreement with Global Brands Group, the master licensee of FIFA merchandise worldwide. Under the agreement, Amigo Sports has exclusive rights to manufacturing, multichannel distribution and retail of official FIFA merchandise all across the country.Amigo Sports will set up official FIFA stores all across the country. The first two stores will come up in Mumbai at the Palladium and Oberoi Mall, which will be followed by stores across the country. Amigo Sports currently has 49 stores and plans to increase this number to 100 by the end of 2010. Amigo Sports plans to expand by opening FIFA stores in the metros and tier-II cities with an average store space of 700-1,500 square feet. The company has also tied up with departmental stores like Shoppers Stop, Central and Westside to sell and promote the FIFA merchandise. The stores will stock official FIFA collections of apparel, sports accessories, footwear, eyewear and event merchandise for men, women and children. |
