One of the leading footwear manufacturers in the US announced that it had signed a retail licensing agreement with footwear retailer Shuz 4 U to open Skechers branded stores across Ireland. Shuz 4 U Ltd was established through a partnership between managing director Paul Gallagher and executive director Sunil Shah. The founders share over 50 combined years of experience in wholesale, distribution and retail of trend-driven clothing and footwear lines throughout Ireland.  According to the agreement, Shuz 4 U will open its first Skechers branded retail stores in Dublin and Cork City by 2010 end. Like the Skechers owned stores, these stores in Ireland will offer a large variety of Skechers products for men, women and children. Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers said that the 10 stores in the UK proved to be an effective means to reach out to customers in the country. He added that the agreement with Shuz 4 U will allow Skechers to create a strong European brand and help expand their retail foothold and build on the existing business in the UK and Ireland. |
