Lenskart ties up with Luxottica

Leading eyewear retail partners Lenskart to make the best brands available online

Lenskart, one of the most innovative and popular online portals retailing eyewear, has recently announced a tie-up with international retail player Luxottica. The strategic tie-up will allow the e-commerce player to offer the latest collection from renowned brands such as Ray-Ban, Vogue and Oakley.

This also marks Luxottica’s first tie-up with an online portal and also enhances the product portfolio of Lenskart. The portal has grown from strength to strength ever since its inception in 2010. With brands such as Fastrack, Sprint, Vintage, Johnson and Johnson available on the website, the brands from Luxottica will add a feather to its cap.

Peyush Bansal, founder and CEO, LensKart, said, “At Lenskart, we try to provide our customers with the best quality of latest in-fashion eyewear at reasonable prices. Luxury brands such as Ray-Ban, Vogue and Oakley are the most sought after brands among customers and being available at a click will be an added advantage for them.”

Convenient shopping for best brands

This is also the perfect opportunity for the brand savvy Indian consumer to purchase their eyewear online from a range comprising some of the best brands in the segment.

Commenting on the tie-up, Akash Goyle, managing director, Luxottica Group (India), said, “We are extremely delighted to associate with an exclusive online retail platform like lenskart.com. I am sure our customers would find the online vehicle a convenient platform to source their favourite brands."

Luxottica as a brand has been in the eyewear retail sector for more than 50 years and has a global presence. The company also has a small plant in India to cater to the local market. Lenskart, on the other hand, is a new entrant in the e-commerce sector, but enjoys a strong market presence due to its niche appeal. Launched under Valyoo Technologies by Peyush Bansal, Lenskart delivers eyewear in 450 cities across the country and has an average 72-hour delivery time and 14-day no-question asked return policy.
